A little FYI
1. Better Late Than Never - is an idiom which suggests that doing something late is better than not doing it at all.
2. Narciso Ramos Sports & Civic Center
NRSCC in Lingayen is the premiere sports and recreation center in Pangasinan. With its international standard track and field oval, swimming pool, gymnasium, dormitories, outdoor courts, lagoon, one-stop sports, civic and recreation center all in one.
NRSCC is open to the public seven days a week and charges reasonable rates for its different facilities and amenities. Membership discounts are available for members of different sporting clubs.
It was named after the diplomat, legislator, solicitor, lawyer and scribe, Hon. Narciso R. Ramos who served the country with distinction during the years of transition from Commonwealth to Independence.
As a newspaper man, he dedicated himself to the campaign for self-government. Aside from being one of the country’s top lawyers, at the age of 33 he was also one of the youngest members of the lower house.
During the entire period of the Japanese occupation, he served with the rank of Major in the guerilla unit Ang Maharlika, a long distinguished career as an envoy and was an ambassador to various sensitive poswts. At one point he successfully defended the Philippines’ alignment with the Western Democratic bloc, besting critics who questioned the country’s fitness for membership in the SEATO. Hon. Narciso R. Ramos’s natural executive organizer and administrator.
Ultimately his work ethic and desire to serve the country inspired him to maintain a high level of personal excellence throughout his career. While these qualities are birthright of every Filipino, in Hon. Narciso R. Ramos, this golden legacy achieved full fruition.
